On optimism, climate change, and a new year

Contemporary journalism on climate change perhaps is more prevalent than in previous decades but much of the coverage in major outlets in the U.S. and around the world focuses on either the process of policy debate or on scientific forecasts. We recently talked with Vanderbilt University professor Michael Vandenbergh about his new book, “Beyond Politics: The Private Governance Response to Climate Change,” co-authored with Jonathan Gilligan. The conversation was wide-ranging but also included some moments of hope and optimism. You can find the episode here: http://measureradio.libsyn.com/climate-change-solutions.
